Signature Basket with Black Overlay

The Signature Basket with Black Overlay is a walnut and black two tone basket. It measures approximately 11″ wide by 8″ high.

The cat’s head basket is hand shaped without the use of a mold. It sits balanced on its four feet or tilted on its side. Upside down the ears of the cat become the feet and the body of the basket. The rim is carved on a shavehorse using a drawknife.

The intense black color comes from iron oxide dye which takes two weeks to achieve- a week in the dyepot and a week in a salt, vinegar, and water bath.

It is signed and dated and is shipped priority mail with tracking.
